ArDOT ‘dusts off’ $600 million future I-49 Barling to Alma stretch

The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration have cooperated on an environmental re-evaluation as well as refining the conceptual alignment for a new section of Interstate 49 (I-49) that would connect approximately 13.7 miles between Highway 22 in Sebastian County and the I-40/I-49 interchange in Crawford County.

Northwest Arkansas to receive $25 million BUILD grant for I-49 Bella Vista bypass

Northwest Arkansas will receive a $25 million federal grant to build a 4.81-mile segment of Interstate 49 in Missouri and to complete the 18.9-mile Arkansas/Missouri connector, or the Bella Vista bypass.

$25M grant to help fund I-49 construction

The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded $25 million to complete the work of the AR/MO connector.

NWA planners apply for BUILD grant to pay for I-49 gap between AR/MO

The NW AR Regional Planning Commission has once again applied for federal funding to complete a 4.8-mile segment of Interstate 49 in Missouri to the state line. The segment is the only portion of the 18.9-mile Arkansas/Missouri Connector, or the Bella Vista Bypass, that doesn’t have the needed funding identified to complete the project.
